TheKidsAI helps parents support children in kindergarten through eighth grade as they prepare for advanced academic opportunities. Because many of our learners are under 13, protecting family privacy is a core product requirement, not an afterthought.
This policy explains how we collect, use, protect, and delete information. Please also review our Terms of Service.
Section
Information We Collect
TheKidsAI collects limited information from children under 13 only after a parent or legal guardian provides consent. This may include a child name, grade level, learning progress, diagnostic answers, practice history, and TheKidsAI Spark learning conversations.
We also collect parent account information such as name, email address, billing details when applicable, and household preferences that help us personalize reminders and district guidance.
We maintain account, device, and support data such as sign-in activity, browser details, and communications needed to keep the service secure and responsive.
Section
How We Use Information
We use information only for educational and family-support purposes, including delivering diagnostics, recommending practice activities, showing progress, and helping parents prepare for advanced academic placement opportunities.
We may also use data to maintain the platform, troubleshoot issues, improve age-appropriate product experiences, and communicate important service or privacy updates to parents.
Section
COPPA Compliance
TheKidsAI is designed with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in mind. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without explicit parental consent.
Parents must create and manage child access. If we learn that a child account was created or used without the required parent or guardian consent, we will pause learning data collection and work with the parent to resolve or delete the data.
Section
Data Sharing
We do not sell children's or families' personal information. We only share information with trusted service providers who help us operate TheKidsAI, such as hosting, authentication, analytics, and payment infrastructure providers, and only under appropriate contractual protections.
We may disclose information when required by law, to protect the safety of children and families, or as part of a business transfer if the privacy commitments in this policy continue to apply.
Section
Parental Rights
Parents and legal guardians can review their child's information, request corrections, ask us to stop further collection, or request deletion of a child's learning data at any time from TheKidsAI settings or by contacting us.
Parents can also close their account and request removal of associated child data. We will verify the request before taking action to protect children's privacy and account security.
Section
Data Retention
We retain child learning data only as long as needed to provide TheKidsAI services, support educational continuity, meet legal obligations, and protect the security of the platform.
When an account is closed or a parent requests deletion, we delete or de-identify child learning data within our normal retention window, except where longer retention is legally required.
